Hesperia Parcel Tax F
The Hesperia Measure F Fire parcel tax failed to a resounding cry of “No New Taxes” by a vote of 80.87% against to 19.13% in favor. The tax, which would have amounted to close to $100. per year per property owner, was immediately distrusted. City council members promised a taxing amount of $5.5 million and when the measure was written it was for $13.6 million. It is interesting to note that absentee property owners did not get to vote. No taxation without representation?
